About Me
Renowned senior anchor and senior producer, with 14 years of progressive journalism and broadcasting experience. Other than news; hosted, reported and produced various political, socio-economic, finance and business, health, current affairs, relief and rehabilitation shows, bulletins, live transmissions, interviews; specialized research-based programs; and surveys; for the largest private media group Geo TV.
Additionally, heading the “Gender Sensitivity Department” and a permanent member of anti-sexual harassment committee of GEO TV, which includes controlling and investigating sexual harassment cases within the organization as well as trainings and other activities related to it.
Former Advisor to Ombudsman Sindh for prevention of harassment at workplace (Sindh Government).
Conducted various training sessions, as a National Expert and certified trainer on prevention of sexual harassment at work place and directed participating organizations in aligning their policies in accordance with the law.
Conducted national level study of participating organizations on Impact of Adoption of Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy on Women Participation in the Workforce, presented at University of Central Florida, U.S.A.
Invited to various TV / radio shows, conferences and corporate events as host, distinguished guest, speaker, panelist and moderator to highlight issues and present solutions related to:

ï‚§ Member of Media watch committee (An initiative by UKS), which shall be monitoring the way a woman is being projected in Pakistani media

ï‚§ Advisor, Pakistan Media Club
ï‚§ Chaired community-based library to promote art, culture and literature
ï‚§ Lectures and workshops at different forums including counseling sessions with parents to encourage women participation in media workplaces; encouraging parents to educate their children; managing work-life balance to new female journalists; and promoting tolerance and pluralism etc.
